Permanit ©, the new steel for wearing parts. After the success of the proven Permanit steel in the previous ploughs Permanit © now follows as a substantial improvement. Using a unique hardening procedure for e.g. plough boards VN is able to achieve a very high hardness at the front, which means best wear resistance. The rear side remains relatively soft and thus extremely tough and impact-resistant. By applying more carbon it becomes even harder on the wearing side without therefore losing elasticity at the softer rear side.
